Template:Infobox type Camel is a rarely-used creature type. Camels are commonly white or green.

Description

A camel is a humped, long-necked ruminant mammal, domesticated in desert regions as a beast of burden and as a source of wool, milk, and meat. Djann often appear as white camels, Nekrataal are known to ride or become black camels.

Dromads are giant camels with no humps used as mounts on the plane of Ravnica. The other cards depict Arabian dromedaries (one-humped camels) rather than the two-humped Bactrian camels.

History

For many years, the only camel card was <c>Camel</c> from Arabian Nights. All creatures attacking in a band with camels are immune to damage done by <c title="deserts">Desert</c>.

Years later the <c>Dromad Purebred</c> was printed in Ravnica: City of Guilds, followed by <c>Tasseled Dromedary</c> in Kaladesh and multiple camels in Amonkhet block. The latter also featured the black <c>Wretched Camel</c>.

Modern Horizons 2 featured the colorless artifact <c>Steel Dromedary</c>.
