Orgg is a red creature type used for cards that depict a Dominarian race of half-breeds between Orcs and Ogres.
Description[edit]
Orggs have two pairs of arms. They are extremely powerful creatures, but also utterly dumb. It is still possible to <c title="train them">Trained Orgg</c>, though.
The first card to bear the type was the classical <c>Orgg</c> in Fallen Empires. Other examples are <c>Soulgorger Orgg</c> and <c>Butcher Orgg</c>.
Storyline[edit]
On Sarpadia, Orggs were used in the war against Icatia by the goblin-orc alliance.[1] Reod Dai killed one of them. Orggs are also known to exist on Otaria. It is possible that they were created by the Cabal to fight in their pits.
Trivia[edit]
- An Orgg played a role in a commercial for Portal, taking on "Bob from Accounting".[2]
- <c>Twisted Experiment</c> may show the creation of the first Orggs by Gatha; this has not been confirmed but the art indicates this may be the origin of the species.
- <c>Trained Orgg</c>, as of 2022, was the most valuable Orgg creature. While its normal version was evaluated in less than $1, its foil version reached prices as high as $80 - $120.
- Some Orggs were considered Beast-type creatures in their first printings.
- <c>Trained Orgg</c> and <c>Vizzerdrix</c> were once considered "booster ruiners" by the community. Yet today, both cards are coveted in foil versions.
