The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It offers a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR however, as other models do, to identify your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best floor robot vacuum and mop-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the click of the button. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or go for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot says it will get better with future models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has a superior filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating throughout your home. We think this is a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on more expensive models. Its mopping system is better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only drawback is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones create little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and moves forward.

What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the bin hidden from view and also washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can also vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you could wish for. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best vacuum with mop robot known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Finally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can manage it even when not home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined route.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features you do not often find on robots of this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great but they also place the L10s in the luxury category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that is a switch for on and off. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can modify how the L10s Ultra works with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which robot vacuums are the best is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and taking out all but stubborn juice staining. The mops also work well, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor or Quaker oats on carpet.
